Through our partnerships, we are able to provide support to help you secure employment, training, or certification in the skilled trades.
The skills shortage is impacting every province in Canada – including British Columbia, with billions of dollars in investments in infrastructure, resource, and private projects incoming over the next decade. Even without this investment, hundreds of thousands of positions across the country are becoming available due to impending retirements by those born during the “Baby Boom”.
The Ministry of Regional Economic Skills Development identified that the construction industry is an area of future pressure which must be monitored to ensure that skills shortages do not become unmanageable.
